BIG Changes Already!!

Our little Jax has already changed so much! He is becoming so alert and we now see eyes all of the time. He is such a good baby! Currently he is sleeping so well, we can put him to bed around 9:30 and he will sleep until 5:00. Definitely no complaints there! We are loving being his parents and feel so blessed to have him in our lives!!!
His big eyes and crazy hair!! His hair is growing so fast. After his bath he has tight curls by the end of the day it looks like this CRAZY!!

Jax ready for his first day at church. What a handsome boy!!

Jax all bundled up and ready to go watch/sleep through his cousins soccer game.

Jax has discovered his hands. He still loves his pacifier but when it is not there he will resort to the hand. One of my fears is coming to past, I can take away a pacifier but not the hands.

Jax is surviving the cold so far.
We are amazed at how much he is changing, he seems like he is growing too fast. The cheeks are getting chubbier, body is getting longer, tummy is getting fatter, but his legs and arms are still super skinny and long.

Grandma Tripp

Cousin Madi
Uncle Karl and Aunt Crystal

Cousin Lily

Cousin Brayden

Uncle Jason and Cousin Grayden
Graydie claims that he is Jax's bestest cousin.
Jax has met so many people already. He is one loved baby! We are so lucky to have the support of so much family!!

Big changes in just 2 weeks

Jaxton loves cuddling with his blankets and having his hands by his face! He is so sweet when he is sleeping.

Jaxton loves his Mommy!

Sleeping again. He really loves his sleep. We feel very fortunate. Jaxton is an excellent sleeper, especially at night. Knock on wood!!

When he is not sleeping, his eyes are becoming more alert.

Jaxton takes after his dad in which he loves to eat! He even is already trying to help hold his bottle and pacifier.
We love being parents although it is not fun at times. We love watching him grow and develop.

Jaxton!!!

A big event in our life happened this weekend!! We adopted a beautiful and sweet little boy!! Jaxton Fisher was born on Thursday Sept 10, 2009 at 5:22 pm. He was 7 lb 5.8 oz and was 20 inches long. After a rough delivery he recovered very quickly and has been great ever since. We signed papers on Friday Sept 11 at 6:00 pm, and he officially became ours. We were able to bring him home Saturday afternoon. We have been cuddling and kissing and hugging him ever since.
We are so grateful and feel very blessed to have him and his birth mom in our lives. Monesha (his birth mom) is truly an amazing, strong and loving person. We have truly enjoyed spending the last few days with her. She gave us the most wonderful and amazing gift, and we will always love her for this and will always be eternally indebt to her.
Birthday (Day 1)
Jaxton's 1st meal!!!

Our family! Jaxton is minutes old here.
Gary, Monesha and myself! This is right after delivery! Monesha was such a trooper and was laughing minutes after, she recovered so quickly! We will always love her!!
Day #2
Gary is so cute with Jaxton!! He is going to be a great dad! He was quite the baby hogger in the hospital and would hold him for hours.

What a sweet baby!!

We are so excited to be blessed with this sweet little baby!! We are eternally grateful to have him in our lives and are excited to see him grow!!
Day #3 (Going Home/Saying our Goodbyes)
Our final day at the hospital was a day of many emotions. We were excited to take him home to meet our families and be able to have him to ourselves, yet we were sad to say goodbye to Monesha. We are so happy she has decided to have contact and we will definitely keep in touch with letters and pictures as our little boy grows.
Gary, myself, Monesha, Jaxton, and Jamie (Monesha's caseworker)!

Labor Day Weekend!!

Gary's mom has claimed every Labor Day weekend as our family reunion. Everyone came to Salt Lake and stayed at our home. We had so much fun spending time together with activities such as game playing (a must with all of Gary's family especially his grandma), fishing, going to a Bee's game, having a Baby shower, hiking and eating lots of yummy food!! Unfortunately we only got pictures of hiking so here they are...
We went up to Dog Lake!!
Crystal, Karl and Alex

Myself

Mya swimming (what a shock we couldn't keep her out of the water!!

Hiking
Hiking still...

And yet hiking somemore...
Mya was so funny to watch!! She is definitely still learning he doggy paddle. We could not keep her out of the water. By the time we got her home she was so worn out!
It was so fun hanging out with Gary's family!! We are so fortunate to have such wondeful supportive families!!

Our Little Camping Trip

So it is definitely time to play a little catch up! These last few weeks have been a bit crazy! A few weekends ago Gary and I decided to go on a little overnighter! We went up to Woodland where my dad has a membership to a little camperworld. It was so fun to go on a trip alone together, and wish it could have been for a bit longer.
Toby loved camping, and was very insistent that he sleep on our bed!! What a stubborn dog!!
Gary getting our tent ready!! I am sure we were quite the site trying to get that airmattress in the tent, it barely fit and it took tons of pushing and pulling to get it through the door way. I am sure we gave the fellow campers a good laugh!!
Mya loved being outside!! We brought her kennel in the tent when we went to bed, that was mistake #1. All night she wagged her tail and it would thump against her kennel. When we yelled at her "Mya stop!!" she wagged harder, let's just say we did not get any sleep!!
We decided to go play in the river, Mya loved every moment of it!!
She is such a water dog!!

YELLOWSTONE

My family has decided that we are going to try to go on a family vacation each year. This year my brother Jason and his wife Shanna planned the trip and we went up to Yellowstone. My whole family was able to go besides my brother Brad and his family. There ended up being 16 of us on the trip. We had a lot of fun seeing all of the cool things in the park.
Gary had never been to Yellowstone and made up a list of all the animals he wanted to see (bear, elk, wolves, moose, bison) unfortunately this did not all happen.
He saw lots of BISON...

He saw lots of ELK...

Unfortunately there were no wolves or bears to be found in Yellowstone park so he settled for the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center
He saw wolves in cages...

And saw bears in cages as well...
I think he was a bit disappointed in our find of animals!!

Radom Pictures of the trip

There were so many cool things to see. There are so many geysers and waterfalls that were amazing.

There was one geyser that created so much steam. We thought it made a cool although kinda creepy picture.
With Yellowstone comes lots of driving. It was the first time that we took the top of the Jeep. So fun!!
Gary loved this sign and thought it was so funny. This sign was everywhere throughout the park. He loved the expression of the kid on the boardwalk!! Too FUNNY!!
We had so much fun hanging out with my family and seeing all of the cool things there, although by Saturday we were very ready to go home and shower, sleep in our own beds and see our puppies.
