He's 4 Months!!!

Wow time flies!!! Bennett is now 4 months! Crazy! I can't believe how much I love this little guy. He seriously has added so much to our family. I can't even imagine life without him. His cute smiles and coos make my days!

At 4 months Bennett...

1- Rolls from tummy to back (As of Sunday 10/17/10)

2- Loves to watch the TV (he already is pivoting so that he faces it)

3- Laughs and Giggles, especially at his brother!!

4- Coos and Squells like crazy

5- Loves to eat fingers (any that he can find, especially his own)

6- Smiles at anyone who will pay attention to him

7- Has discovered his mommy's hair and loves to hold/pull it

Trip to Meadow

Gary and my dad and brothers Brad and Jared all drew out for the Southern Region deer hunt. Me not wanting to stay home by myself with my 2 crazy boys decided to tag along. We ended up staying in Meadow with my wonderful grandparents. It was nice to have the company of my grandparents when I was left behinds. It was such a relaxing week. I am so grateful that my boys have the opportunity to know their great-granparents.

One of the days there (between the hunting) we went to the hot springs near my grandparents home. Here are some pictures of our excursion.

Here Comes Trouble

So our little baby is walking (FINALLY)!! He showed interest in walking a month ago and until now has been boycotting even trying. He is getting so so big!! He was so proud of himself!! (I love that he blew his dad a kiss before walking to him)

Can't Forget About BENNETT

With all of the posts about Jax and his birthday and haircut, I figure that poor little neglected Bennett deserves a little shout out and love. Bennett is now officially 3 months!!! Crazy how fast time is flying. I love this little guy so so much!!

The things I love most about Bennett
1. His sweet smile
2. His cooing and chatting (seriously I love the fact that after I feed him in the morning that he needs to sit and have a little chat at 6 am, it is our little alone bonding time!!)
3. His big dimple on the right side
4. Him sleeping through the night
5. Watching him watch his big brother and smile!!! Honestly it makes all the busy times and crazy house of having 2 boys so close worth it!

More and More Parties

Jax had his last and final birthday party with my family. Here are some pictures of the big event.

My sister and I made Jax a farm birthday cake. I must say I was pretty impressed with ourselves!!


Jax has had more sugar this week than I think he has ever had before. Boy is he going to be sad to have his birthday parties over. The poor kid is going to have sugar withdrawals.

Jax is one spoiled and loved kid!! He loves his cousins and just watches and idolizes their every moves.

First Haircut

Well the big day arrived and Jax got his first haircut. Jax has always had crazy hair, which I personally loved! Jax, due to wearing the hair off the back and side of his head as an infant had very uneven hair. As sad as cutting his hair was for me, it needed to be done! The experience went great and he loved it!! I think this kid just loves to be the center of attention.

We went to Cookie Cutter's to get his hair cut. What a fun place! Jax got to sit in a little red car and watch Elmo on television.

The ladies were so good with him!! He just soaked in the attention!!

He managed to steal 3 of the stylists combs.

Jax's 1st Birthday!!

For Jax's actual birthday, Gary took the day off and we took our boys to the zoo. Jax loved it! He loved watching the animals and the other people at the zoo. It was so fun having a day focused on him and spoiling him rotten!

Jax had some birthday money from his Grandma and Grandpa Beckstrand. We decided to let him pick out a stuffed animal from the gift shop. He ended up with a baby tiger cub. He loves his tiger!!

After going to the zoo we had a few people over to our house for pizza, presents and of course cake and ice cream!

Happy Birthday Jax!!!

I can't believe my baby is 1! I have been thinking a lot today about Jax and how much he has added to my life and to our family. He is one amazing and special kid. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him and my love continues to grow each day! I can't imagine my life and our family without him. I live for that happy smile and laugh!! I am so grateful for my cute, happy and energetic baby. I love you Jaxie!!! Happy 1st Birthday!!!

Even Superman Gets Sick

My poor poor little Jaxie has been so so sick this week. On Tuesday night the poor little guy had a fever of 102. The next morning he still had a fever and me being the paranoid mom that I am decided to take him in to the doctor. After the doctor discussed with me that you don't usually bring kids in until they have had a fever for 3 days, she proceeded to check him out. The doctor checked his ears and said they looked great she then looked in his throat (which Jax fought)and said that it was extremely red. She then much to Jax's protest did a throat culture. And the verdict is he has STREP.

Poor little guys has been so miserable.

Jax just has not been himself. He has been extremely lethargic and grouchy.

*On the positive note Jax has been much more cuddly. It has been nice to just sit and hold the little guy. Another positive is that he has been sleeping until 9:30 in the morning. It has been so nice to sleep in. Not that I like him being sick, but heck I will take these few advantages anytime.

Swimming, Sleeping and Growing Big

Jax absolutely loves the water!! He loves taking baths and swimming. This last week Jax went swimming with his cousins Lily and Paige in their little pool. He loves his cousins and loves playing with them. He is already starting to prefer playing with kids rather than playing with his parents. He is getting too big way too fast!

Eating is really quite the chore! After eating his breakfast Jax crashed. Honestly can that really be comfortable?

Jax and Bennett bonding! Jax definitely loves Bennett! Bennett has not decided how he feels about it. It is fun to see Jax get more and more interested in Bennett. Jax now thinks he needs to hold and burp his brother with his mommy.

Bennett loves attention! He loves to be held like this and loves to be talked to. He is very expressive and pulls some great faces and is cooing like crazy. He seriously has the cutest smile I have ever seen (well it is a toss up between him and Jax), it makes my day!

Like I said he is very expressive with his face. This is him thinking "wow my mommy is crazy!"

Jax is now 11 months. Wow time has flown and my sweet little baby is getting big. It is crazy to think that he is almost 1. A year ago I was aching for a baby and now look at my life! I can't imagine life without my little man.

Bennett is now 2 months. We had his dreaded 2 month appointment today. The poor little guy had to get 3 shots. It broke my heart to see him get poked and to watch is face and his little lip quiver. I hate watching my babies get shots it really breaks my heart (you would think that being a nurse would make this easier but this is definitely not the case with my babies). The doctor says the Bennett is doing great and that he is growing like crazy. He is a pound bigger than what Jax was at 2 months!
