Big Change of Events!!

Life like always brings big changes! Much to our surprise after adopting Jax we were able to get pregnant. Who knew that the best and most successful fertility treatment out there was adoption. So yes, baby number 2 is well on its way. I am currently 20 weeks with a due date of June 14. There are many emotions that are going through both Gary and I including: anxiety, stress and excitement. Our arms are going to be very full and life is going to get very busy. We are still very excited!!!

We had our ultrasound last week and here are the results...

Face profile!!

Hands and feet. The baby was very low and the ultrasound tech says that the baby's feet are right on my bladder (yeah I could have told her that!)

And yes it is a BOY!!! Boys are going to rule the house!
I am very excited for Jax, I think it will be better to have 2 boys being that close, plus I have most of the stuff already. I must say though I am a little sad to still not have a shopping and crafting buddy. I am certain that as soon as Gary is able to he is going to convince both of them that hunting and fishing are the way to go!
I must say it is kind of strange to think there is something growing inside me, it is even more strange to feel him moving and kicking my bladder!!

Randomness

Jax is now 4 months old (crazy). He is now eating rice cereal (ummm yummm). I have a super funny video, but for some reason I can not get it to upload, so pictures will just have to do. Here are the pictures from his first feeding.

He was so funny, he would clamp him mouth shut! Lets just say we both have a lot to learn when it comes to feeding time.

When we managed to get some in him mouth he would spit it right back out. I think more ended up on his face and bib then in his tummy.

Jax is such a goof. He is a super smiley and giggly baby.

I thought this was so stinkin cute. Gary was getting Jax ready for church and was combing his hair. As you can see his little tummy is not so little any more. I love his chubs!!!

Jax is still such a good sleeper and still loves his blankets. We still have to swaddle him for him to sleep good. I think we will be swaddling him till he is ten, we will definitely need to get some bigger blankets!!!

Merry Christmas

As much as Gary hates putting up lights, her did an amazing job. I think by far our lights were the prettiest in the neighborhood (no bias I promise)!!

Our Christmas Tree

Our yearly gingerbread house. I must say we did a dang good job!!

Our yearly Christmas Eve Pajama Picture. This was quite the task getting all of us together and sitting before the timmer on the camera went off. And everyone is looking besides Toby!

Jax did not understand the whole opening thing. He did decide he liked his new bumbo chair! Hopefully next year he will get a bit more excited.

Opening Presents!!

New clothes!

We put treats in the dogs presents so they will open them up. We weren't paying attention to Toby, when we looked under the chair and he had drug out his own present and had already opened it. What a sneaky dog!!

Mya loves her toys. I think she has already destroyed 2 of them. It is so fun to find a stuffed animal stuffing trail where ever she goes.

Jax with his cousin Kendie in his new Christmas outfit. He looked so handsome. He was the best looking boy at church!!

5 Whole Years

So I am way behind on posting!! We hit the big 5 year anniversary Dec 18. Gary planned an amazing day. It was so nice being able to hang out with him all day.
1st we started out with a yummy breakfast at IHOP
2nd we went to the Living Planet Aquarium

Jax got to come along to the aquarium. He loved looking at all of the lights in each of the aquariums.

The aquarium was pretty neat. I must say I am pretty excited for them to get the penguin exhibit.
3rd we dropped Jax off at my sisters and went to the movie "Blindside". This movie was really good and I would recommend it to all.
Lastly we got on tracks and went downtown. We went to the restaurant "The Melting Pot". Neither of us had ever been to a fondue restaurant. The food was amazing and we left feeling very full.
It was such a great day! I am definitely married to a wonderful man. He is such a great husband and dad. He spoils me rotten. Gary I love you!!!

Family Christmas Pictures

Each year we get a family picture taken for Christmas. This year we decided to go to Gardner Village. My dad took the pictures and I must say he did a great job. We ended up going around 9:00 in the morning and boy was it cold. It was quite the challenge to get a picture where Jax was not crying because it was freezing (this baby hates being cold and loves his blanket). These were a few of my favorites!

BIG Changes Already!!

Our little Jax has already changed so much! He is becoming so alert and we now see eyes all of the time. He is such a good baby! Currently he is sleeping so well, we can put him to bed around 9:30 and he will sleep until 5:00. Definitely no complaints there! We are loving being his parents and feel so blessed to have him in our lives!!!
His big eyes and crazy hair!! His hair is growing so fast. After his bath he has tight curls by the end of the day it looks like this CRAZY!!

Jax ready for his first day at church. What a handsome boy!!

Jax all bundled up and ready to go watch/sleep through his cousins soccer game.

Jax has discovered his hands. He still loves his pacifier but when it is not there he will resort to the hand. One of my fears is coming to past, I can take away a pacifier but not the hands.

Jax is surviving the cold so far.
We are amazed at how much he is changing, he seems like he is growing too fast. The cheeks are getting chubbier, body is getting longer, tummy is getting fatter, but his legs and arms are still super skinny and long.

People Jax has met

Grandma Tripp

Cousin Madi
Uncle Karl and Aunt Crystal

Cousin Lily

Cousin Brayden

Uncle Jason and Cousin Grayden
Graydie claims that he is Jax's bestest cousin.
Jax has met so many people already. He is one loved baby! We are so lucky to have the support of so much family!!

Big changes in just 2 weeks

Jaxton loves cuddling with his blankets and having his hands by his face! He is so sweet when he is sleeping.

Jaxton loves his Mommy!

Sleeping again. He really loves his sleep. We feel very fortunate. Jaxton is an excellent sleeper, especially at night. Knock on wood!!

When he is not sleeping, his eyes are becoming more alert.

Jaxton takes after his dad in which he loves to eat! He even is already trying to help hold his bottle and pacifier.
We love being parents although it is not fun at times. We love watching him grow and develop.

Jaxton!!!

A big event in our life happened this weekend!! We adopted a beautiful and sweet little boy!! Jaxton Fisher was born on Thursday Sept 10, 2009 at 5:22 pm. He was 7 lb 5.8 oz and was 20 inches long. After a rough delivery he recovered very quickly and has been great ever since. We signed papers on Friday Sept 11 at 6:00 pm, and he officially became ours. We were able to bring him home Saturday afternoon. We have been cuddling and kissing and hugging him ever since.
We are so grateful and feel very blessed to have him and his birth mom in our lives. Monesha (his birth mom) is truly an amazing, strong and loving person. We have truly enjoyed spending the last few days with her. She gave us the most wonderful and amazing gift, and we will always love her for this and will always be eternally indebt to her.
Birthday (Day 1)
Jaxton's 1st meal!!!

Our family! Jaxton is minutes old here.
Gary, Monesha and myself! This is right after delivery! Monesha was such a trooper and was laughing minutes after, she recovered so quickly! We will always love her!!
Day #2
Gary is so cute with Jaxton!! He is going to be a great dad! He was quite the baby hogger in the hospital and would hold him for hours.

What a sweet baby!!

We are so excited to be blessed with this sweet little baby!! We are eternally grateful to have him in our lives and are excited to see him grow!!
Day #3 (Going Home/Saying our Goodbyes)
Our final day at the hospital was a day of many emotions. We were excited to take him home to meet our families and be able to have him to ourselves, yet we were sad to say goodbye to Monesha. We are so happy she has decided to have contact and we will definitely keep in touch with letters and pictures as our little boy grows.
Gary, myself, Monesha, Jaxton, and Jamie (Monesha's caseworker)!
