BROTHERS

It has been quite fun trying to balance my attention between these 2 little boys. Luckily Jax loves his little brother and loves to hold him and give him kisses. It is so cute to watch! Hopefully Bennett will one day love Jax just as much and the love will be shared.
Jax loves to give his brother kisses. We just have to be careful and make sure it is a supervised kiss. Jax has not quite gotten the gentleness aspect down.

Jax is so proud of his brother and even more proud of himself when he holds him.
This makes me excited for them to grow up together. It will be so nice to have them so close in age and hope that they will be best friends most of the time (I know I would be asking way to much if I said all of the time!!). I love these little guys so so much!!!

New Deck and Busy Helping Hands

We have had the idea and planning for our deck for quite some time. Saturday we were able to get a lot of the deck completed finally after Gary slowly working on it for over a year. We had tons of help from so many family members We are so grateful to have such a supportive and loving family. The deck looks great and we are so excited to use it.

Jax thought that the deck building was great and wanted to help out!

Jax is such a busy body and is all over the place. He wants to be involved in everything and anything we are doing. He thinks he is so helpful!

Busy Busy With 2

I never imagined how busy our lives would become with having 2 babies!! I hope and pray that one day we can develop some sort of routine. Until then I guess our home just may be chaos (a happy chaos). As busy as we are, I can't imagine life any different. I love these two little guys more than anything and love being a mom!!

Lots has happened these last few weeks. Jax now has not just one but two teeth, is now crawling, pulling him self up on furniture, and making big messes out of our dvd and cd collection. Bennett is doing a little better with sleeping in the night, although we still have good and bad days. Bennett still sleeps, eats and poops a ton!!

So we have been trying to teach/encourage Jax to pick up food, bottle, sippy cup on his own. He will pick it up but just can't figure out how to make it to his mouth. This week I was practicing with cereal and Jax came up with a better way to eat!! I think he watches his puppies a little too much.

Jax is definitely starting to cruise around the furniture. He is Mr. mobile now and thinks he can go just about anywhere. This is him losing his pants, I never thought I would have a problem with him trying to sag his pants already.

Jax seriously has the funniest personality ever. He is such a social baby. He honestly has the most contagious laugh and smile, you can't help but be happy when looking at him like this.

Bennett is growing like crazy! This kid constantly thinks he is starving and would seriously like to eat all day. I have nicknamed him my "little bird" due to him looking like this a lot of the time opening and closing his mouth like a baby bird. He also has skinny little bird legs just like a "little bird"!!
1st bath at home for Bennett went great and he loved every minute. He really didn't make a peep and just sat in his little chair. He already is just like his brother and loves the water. I think we are in big trouble when Bennett is a bit bigger and we bathe them together (we are going to come out soaked!)

2 Weeks Already???

Wow time flies!! I can't believe that we have had this little guy for over two weeks now. It has been a crazy past two weeks, with lots of adjustments. Between the 2 babies I feel like I am always feeding and changing diapers. I think I have finally adapted my morning routine and can get myself and them ready by 10:00 (pretty amazing if you ask me). So far I think we have all adjusted to the baby well.

Bennett had his 2 week appointment yesterday and he is a whole 7 lbs 3.5 oz and is 20 1/4 inches long. Pretty impressive if you ask me. The doctor was very impressed that he had gotten well past his birth weight already. This kid loves to eat!!!

Some things we have learned these last 2 weeks...
-There is absolutely nothing on television at 3 am that is worth watching (we have quite the night owl that likes to be awake all through the night)
-Jax loves all binkis including his little brothers (poor Bennett is going to have nothing of his own)
-You have to be fast with diaper changes, you never know when more is to come!!!!
-Laundry really is a never ending task

Crazy about hAiR!!

Everyone keeps telling me that I need to take lots of pictures and document Jax's hair. As many of you know his hair is absolutely crazy. This picture really does not do justice to how crazy it really is. He has a huge bald spot from laying and then has hair that sticks straight out on the sides. Jax's birth mom has asked us not to cut his hair for at least a year so we are counting down the months until we can put some order to this craziness.

As crazy as his hair is, I absolutely love it!!! I really will be very sad to cut it!!

Bennett is well on his way to having crazy hair as well. He almost has a mullet in back. I was completely shocked that he came out with hair. I was certain I would have a bald baby!!

He's Here!!!

So we are happy to say that Bennett is finally here. I thought for sure on Monday (6/14 his due date) that I was going to have to blog that I was 40 weeks and depressed (my doctor had set an induction date for 6/24 10 days after my due date and I was not happy about it).

Dooms Day!!

My contractions started on Friday night and were very regular. I was keeping track of the frequency and found that for about 3 hours they were about 6 minutes apart. We thought for sure we would be going to the hospital that night. After the 3 hours they continued but the time between started to space. I couldn't bare the idea of going to the hospital and being sent home so we stuck it out.

Finally after laboring Friday night and all day Saturday we decided to go to the hospital early Sunday morning. We got there at about 1:30. After evaluating me the found that I was 5 cm and was contracting every 2-3 minutes. They decided to keep me. Finally after waiting what seemed like forever I got my epidural at 4:30. I was finally able to go to sleep after being up for over 48 hours. They then checked me at 8:30 where they found that I was now 8 cm. We got excited and nervous as we thought about having the baby soon. They set up the delivery table then which made me even more nervous and anxious. They then broke my water.
Much to our disappointment my body would not continue progressing and I was stuck at 8 cm until around 11:45. I had finally reached a 10. After 20-30 minutes of pushing he decided to make his presence.

Finally Here!!!

He weighed 6 lbs 12 oz. and is 20 inches long. He is so tiny but surprisingly longer than we thought. He has tons of brown hair (which was a surprise for both of us!!)

Just following delivery, we were both so relieved that he was healthy and that the delivery went well. We were also both so exhausted and tired!!

Bath Time!!

Bennett loved his bath and was surprisingly calm through most of it!!

Proud DADDY!!!

Our Family!!
Jax loves his little brother and always wants to touch his face!

Jax looked so proud. Little does he know he now has to share his mom, dad, puppies and toys. Poor kid has something coming to him.

Jax giving his brother and mommy a hug!! Gary and I had such a hard time being away from Jax. Luckily I have a wonderful sister that brought him to the hospital each day so we could see him. We are so excited to have 2 super cute boys!! We love them both so much!!

Look at how BIG and how little!!
Jax definitely makes Bennett look super tiny and Bennett makes Jax look huge. This is their cute little and huge feet!!

Our handsome little man!!!

Discharge Day!!!
We were definitely ready to go home. We loved Riverton IHC hospital but after 2 days of being cooped up in a room it was time to go home!!

Dressed and ready to go!!

I thought this picture of my boys was so cute. Can I say I think I am a little out numbered!

We are so excited to welcome this new little guy to our family!! We finally think we are ready for the challenges and happiness of having him in our home! We are so grateful for him and so grateful that he is a healthy baby. We couldn't have asked for a better pregnancy and delivery!!

Random Stuff

I just wanted to update what is going on in the life of the Lowry's. As you can see not a heck of a lot. We are now currently waiting for baby #2 to make his appearance. I have now passed the 38 week mark, so I guess we will see. Here are some random pictures...

We finally got a double stroller for our 2 little babies. Gary thought Jax would love to sit in the stroller box. As you can see, Jax had a different thought and did not enjoy this idea!!

Jax loves his Daddy!!! He still loves to cuddle (although it has to be on his timing only!!).

Jax loves his baby brother already!! Really the poor little guy has no clue what is coming to him. So for now we are just hoping and praying that the transition will go as smooth as possible. I do think Jax is going to miss this big tummy of mine that he has claimed as his new pillow. He has become very fond of it. I can tell you, I am ready for the tummy to be gone!!
Well that is it for now!!

Our Family is Forever!!!

We were finally able to have Jax sealed in the temple. I know 7 and a half months doesn't seem like long, but I feel like we were waiting for this day for forever. We had Jax sealed to us in the Jordan River Temple on April 24. It was honestly one of the most amazing days that I have had so far. Jax was so good and cooperated so well. It was such a neat experience, Jax just looked at the sealer with his big brown eyes and focused on him. It was almost as if he knew what was happening. It was a very emotional experience. It is nice to know that he is now part of our family for forever!!!

Our Forever Family!!!

I loved this picture of him. Jax loves being the center of attention and just soaked it all in.

Our family who came to the sealing. We are so grateful to have such supportive families. I love our families so much. It is such a nice feeling to know that Jax will have all of these people and many more to support him and be such great examples for him. He is truly one loved baby!!!

Our handsome little man. I was so excited to find a tie that fit him. He looked so cute! He liked the tie as well and thought it made quite a fun toy to suck on.
I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to be the parents of this special baby. He honestly lights up my life and I can't imagine life without him. I am forever amazed at the love and joy he has brought into our home. I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to be his mom. I am also so grateful that we have the opportunity to be a forever family!!!

Swimming

We took Jax swimming for the first time. We went to the South Jordan indoor pool. He actually did very well and seemed to like it quite a bit. He loved kicking his legs and splashing with his hands. After about 45 minutes he decided he was cold so I got him out and wrapped him in his towel. Gary stayed in the pool, after a few minutes of drying Jax saw his dad and decided he wanted to go back in. I think we had a successful trip and will definitely go back soon.

Jax was very fascinated with the water. After a bit I think it became a little overwhelming to him. He loved watching all of the people at the pool as well.

They had these little baby bouncer swings, Jax loved them!!
