Jax was very fascinated with the water. After a bit I think it became a little overwhelming to him. He loved watching all of the people at the pool as well.

Swimming
We took Jax swimming for the first time. We went to the South Jordan indoor pool. He actually did very well and seemed to like it quite a bit. He loved kicking his legs and splashing with his hands. After about 45 minutes he decided he was cold so I got him out and wrapped him in his towel. Gary stayed in the pool, after a few minutes of drying Jax saw his dad and decided he wanted to go back in. I think we had a successful trip and will definitely go back soon.

He is Official
We went to court on Monday, April 12 to finalize Jax's adoption. Jax is now officially a Lowry! It was such a cool day. I have never been to court so it was quite the experience. Let's just say I am a big cry baby and was very emotional through the whole thing (let's just blame it on the extra hormones running through my blood). It is so nice to know that he is now ours. As cool as this day was I am even more excited to take him to the temple. Less than 2 weeks and then he is ours forever.

This is a picture from the back of the courtroom. It was surprisingly very official, it was a little strange to be sworn in and I found myself giggling a bit. Our lawyer luckily was very lighthearted and kept making jokes. He made sure to point out that he is ours through all of lifes trials including Jax turning 16.

Judge Toomey. I am not going to lie she was definitely a little intimidating although very nice.

Our family following the trial. Yes my face is red from crying.

Our family that came.
We feel very lucky to be able to be Jax's parents. We love this kid more than we ever imagined we could. He has become such an important and vital part of our lives. We are so grateful for adoption and for the chance this has given us to be his parents. We love you Jax!!!

Easter
Here are some pictures of our Easter festivities...

Jax enjoyed holding/eating/sucking on the eggs.

Jax has started pulling this funny face and giving attitude. This is him not cooperating quite as well.

Jax hugging his new stuffed puppy from his Easter basket. He loves stuffed animals and loves cuddling with them.

It was so fun having a Jax to share Easter with. I am so excited for next year when he shows even more interest in the festivities.

My Pretty Princess
This is my beautiful little girl!!! I went to go pick up Jaxton from my sister's house and there was a pretty white headband on her table. I put it on Jax, when my cute little neice Lily decided he needed a flower with it. Well this is what we came up with.

6 Months and Growing
So Jax is now over 6 months old. Wow time has flown, I can't believe it has already been that long. It seems just like yesterday that we were signing papers and taking him home from the hospital. I can't believe how much we love this little guy and how much he has us wrapped around his little fingers.
We took him to get 6 month pictures taken. Jaxton loved every minute of it. This kid loves to be in the light and loves to be the center of attention. He is such a goof. The photographer loved him and was impressed with how well he cooperated.

Here are a few new things Jax has discovered and can do...
1- He is a great smiler and giggler (it is so contagious and is to die for)
2- He can roll over (tummy to back and back to tummy)
3- He has become a proffesional mover and can scoot and pivot anywhere
4- He is an amazing spitter (yes we are proud)
5- He is extremely loud (he has definitely discovered that he can make noise, it has been quite fun to have him in church)
6- He has discovered his love for food (he will throw and temper tantrum if you do not feed him fast enough).
7- Lastly he has discovered how to manipulate he seems to be able to get what he wants when he wants from just about anyone.
We are so Proud!!! We definitely love this little man!!!

Big Steps!!!
So I finally took the plunge and bought some maternity clothes!!! This was one huge step for me and I have definitely been dragging my feet a bit.
Next big step in my life is to actually put them on and wear them. Give me some time!
Another Doctors Appointment Down...
We had another doctor's appointment. At this appointment they wanted to do another ultrasound to see if they could get a better picture of the baby's heart (last time he was too low to see it very well). Well needless to say he is still a boy!!! I asked the ultrasound lady if he was still a boy and she just laughed. I guess my little guy is not too modest and he was definitely showing his man hood. She said "he is definitely a boy!!!" The baby looks healthy and everything appears normal, which is always a relief. I did question her about the size of the baby (anyone who knows my family knows 9 pounders are not out of the ordinary). Fortunately for now she says he is running on the smaller side, so hopefully that will last the rest of the nine months!! I hope and pray that he takes after his daddy's family in that area!!!

For the Love of Dogs!!!
Jax loves his puppies and his puppies love him!!! He will often just look at them and laugh!! He loves their kisses!

BABY TOBY!!!
I don't think we will ever have a problem with having a fear of dogs at our house.
BABY TOBY!!!
My little niece Lily loves babies and thought that Toby should be her baby for the night. She in turn thought it was absolutely necessary for Toby to wear a diaper. Toby was truly a good sport and let Lily and Gary put the diaper on.

Big Change of Events!!
Life like always brings big changes! Much to our surprise after adopting Jax we were able to get pregnant. Who knew that the best and most successful fertility treatment out there was adoption. So yes, baby number 2 is well on its way. I am currently 20 weeks with a due date of June 14. There are many emotions that are going through both Gary and I including: anxiety, stress and excitement. Our arms are going to be very full and life is going to get very busy. We are still very excited!!!
We had our ultrasound last week and here are the results...

Face profile!!

Hands and feet. The baby was very low and the ultrasound tech says that the baby's feet are right on my bladder (yeah I could have told her that!)

I am very excited for Jax, I think it will be better to have 2 boys being that close, plus I have most of the stuff already. I must say though I am a little sad to still not have a shopping and crafting buddy. I am certain that as soon as Gary is able to he is going to convince both of them that hunting and fishing are the way to go!
I must say it is kind of strange to think there is something growing inside me, it is even more strange to feel him moving and kicking my bladder!!

Randomness
Jax is now 4 months old (crazy). He is now eating rice cereal (ummm yummm). I have a super funny video, but for some reason I can not get it to upload, so pictures will just have to do. Here are the pictures from his first feeding.

He was so funny, he would clamp him mouth shut! Lets just say we both have a lot to learn when it comes to feeding time.

When we managed to get some in him mouth he would spit it right back out. I think more ended up on his face and bib then in his tummy.
Jax is such a goof. He is a super smiley and giggly baby.

I thought this was so stinkin cute. Gary was getting Jax ready for church and was combing his hair. As you can see his little tummy is not so little any more. I love his chubs!!!

Jax is still such a good sleeper and still loves his blankets. We still have to swaddle him for him to sleep good. I think we will be swaddling him till he is ten, we will definitely need to get some bigger blankets!!!

Merry Christmas
As much as Gary hates putting up lights, her did an amazing job. I think by far our lights were the prettiest in the neighborhood (no bias I promise)!!
Our Christmas Tree
Our yearly gingerbread house. I must say we did a dang good job!!
Our yearly Christmas Eve Pajama Picture. This was quite the task getting all of us together and sitting before the timmer on the camera went off. And everyone is looking besides Toby!
Jax did not understand the whole opening thing. He did decide he liked his new bumbo chair! Hopefully next year he will get a bit more excited.
Opening Presents!!
New clothes!
5 Whole Years
So I am way behind on posting!! We hit the big 5 year anniversary Dec 18. Gary planned an amazing day. It was so nice being able to hang out with him all day.
1st we started out with a yummy breakfast at IHOP
2nd we went to the Living Planet Aquarium

Jax got to come along to the aquarium. He loved looking at all of the lights in each of the aquariums.

3rd we dropped Jax off at my sisters and went to the movie "Blindside". This movie was really good and I would recommend it to all.
Lastly we got on tracks and went downtown. We went to the restaurant "The Melting Pot". Neither of us had ever been to a fondue restaurant. The food was amazing and we left feeling very full.
It was such a great day! I am definitely married to a wonderful man. He is such a great husband and dad. He spoils me rotten. Gary I love you!!!
